Personal growth goals do not have to be this large extravagant goal. Our life has 8 main areas of focus –
• Health (Physical & Mental)
• Home/Surroundings
• Career/Business
• Relationships
• Money
• Fun
• Contribution
• Personal/Spirituality/Religion Development
Pick one area then pick one piece of that area to set a goal on. It can be exciting to set new goals you have all of this energy. But that energy begins to wane as time goes on. Being focused one smaller item is much better than trying to divide your attention between five at once. You are much more likely to achieve that one goal and keep that momentum then to start five at once and reach any of them.
We often don’t set big enough long-term goals but when we set short term goals, we over estimate what can be actually done. It can be easy to shoot for the stars before the work begins. I by no means will ever tell you not to go big but I will tell you to meet yourself where you are.
Something to keep in mind is that personal growth goals need only two things – to be PERSONAL and to bring about GROWTH.
Personal means that no one else has to agree with it or think it’s a great goal. You are doing this for you, end of story. Which means growth is defined by what is going to bring your life a step forward from your point of view. Don’t get caught up in trying to set goals you think others will have a good perception of.
Here are some tips on setting and reaching your goal –
1. Know your why
2. Write your goal down
3. Look at your goal often
4. Plan out how you will reach your goal
5. Evaluate your progress and adjust accordingly
6. Be kind to yourself 😊

Final Thoughts
Always remember that your personal development goals are always personal to you. There is no right or wrong personal goal.
The number one thing to remember is to pick one from one area and focus there. Trying to set a goal in each area will not get you the same results as focusing in on one will. You can always set a new goal once you have reached this one.
Pick the area of your life you want to set a goal. Set a goal in that category and know why you are setting that goal. Keep it in sight as much as possible.
Plan your journey on how you will reach your goal. Evaluate it as you go to make sure what you are doing is putting you on the right track. And always be kind as you do it.
What goal are you going to set to bring your life to the next level?
